Arsene Wenger has taken a weakened squad with him for the clash and is expected to give the likes of Jack Wilshere a starting spot.

Mesut Ozil, who returned from injury against West Brom earlier this week, has not travelled.

Team news

Arsenal are set to field a weakened team for Thursday's Europa League fixture at BATE Borisov as they balance the competition against the demands of the Premier League.

They are understood to have travelled to Belarus without Laurent Koscielny, Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Granit Xhaka, Alexandre Lacazette, Sead Kolasinac, Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal.

Injury has also deprived them of Alex Iwobi, Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Calum Chambers and Danny Welbeck, meaning Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson are expected to start.

Team from: Ospina, Cech, Macey, Mertesacker, Holding, Mustafi, Wilshere, Elneny, Maitland-Niles, Walcott, Giroud, Nelson, Willock, McGuane, Dasilva, Akpom, Gilmour, Debuchy.
