Wayne Rooney looks set to appeaar as TV pundit in the new year on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.

The Everton ace has endured a difficult time since his return to Goodison in the summer, but rolled back the years with a stunning hat-trick in last week's win against West Ham.

Rooney's former Manchester United teammates Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs have already made the switch into punditry.

And the 32-year-old looks set to dip his toes after the busy festive period, according to the Daily Mail.
