Kieran Gibbs and Jay Rodriguez are on course for England recalls, according to their West Brom manager Tony Pulis.

The Premier League Baggies paid Arsenal £7million for left-back Gibbs in August, having splashed out £12m the month before on Southampton striker Rodriguez.

Gibbs, who has 10 caps, has not played for the Three Lions since November 2015 while injury-hit Rodriguez is yet to add to his sole senior appearance against Chile almost four years ago.

But the pair have established themselves in an Albion side now sitting 10th in the Premier League.

With the World Cup finals in Russia now less than a year away, Pulis said: “We have had outstanding performances from Gibbs since he has come into the football club, which we have been pleased with.

“Jay has done fantastically well as well.

“There are people outside the group that Gareth Southgate is picking who could force their way in over the coming months.”
