Mathieu Debuchy could be on his way out of Arsenal, with Roma reportedly set to bid for his services.

Italian outlet Football Italia, cited by the Daily Star, claim the Serie A club are in the market for a new right-back with former Inter Milan star Maicon now 34 years old.

Debuchy may have to leave Arsenal to give himself the best chance of being included in the French squad for Euro 2016.

He lost his place in the Gunners team to Hector Bellerin last season and Wenger admitted he could leave this month.

"It's not impossible Debuchy will leave," Wenger said. "I'm happy for him to stay, but we'll see.”

Lorenzo Insigne, 24, is a target of Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, according to the Napoli star's agent.

The Italy winger has scored seven goals and racked up five assists in 17 Serie A matches so far this season.

Agent Antonio Ottaiano said: "PSG and Arsenal are clubs at the top of the world and their interest is certainly gratifying, but right now Lorenzo is only thinking about Napoli.

"A great season is also key to reaching his other aim for this year: securing a place for the next European Championship with Italy."

Carragher: Ozil comparisons with Bergkamp are premature

Jamie Carragher insists Mesut Ozil must win a Premier League title to reach the level of Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp, writes MirrorFootball's Liam Prenderville.

The German has enjoyed a remarkable season with Arsene Wenger's men, having already notched 16 assists at the turn of the year.

After Monday's win over Bournemouth, Wenger likened Ozil to Gunners' great Bergkamp as he heaped on the praise.

Rubbished: Carragher says Ozil must win trophies to justify comparisons to Bergkamp

But Carragher has warned silverware will dictate how far the comparisons go between the pair.

"His numbers are remarkable but, at this moment, they mean nothing. He is on target to become a record breaker but, if there is no silverware, what will it mean?" he writes in the Daily Mail.

"As it stands, though, it is nonsense to use statistics to try to compare Ozil and Bergkamp. The reason is this: Bergkamp is immortalised in bronze outside the Emirates Stadium because, aside from all the medals he won, he helped bring fantasy football to north London. His style had substance.

"If Ozil continues to sparkle when it matters in the next 19 fixtures and inspires Wenger's squad to their first Premier League title since 2004, it would make him a legend in the eyes of Arsenal fans. Until then the Bergkamp comparisons must wait."

Wenger: Ozil needs a rest - but we can't give him one

Arsene Wenger has revealed Mesut Ozil needs a break - but they cannot afford to give him any games off, writes MirrorFootball's John Cross.

Arsenal boss Wenger says Ozil is barely training and is going from game-to-game because he is so important to the Gunners' title challenge.

Before his Premier League leaders' home game against third-bottom Newcastle , Wenger said: “At the moment, he doesn’t practice a lot. We rest him a lot between the games. I gave him one-week holiday during the international break.

“He is a guy who, once the basic fitness is there between the games, he wants to play.

“There are types of players, sometimes the most technical players, it looks like it demands less energy for them to play – it is just natural for them."

Walcott hails assist-king Ozil

Theo Walcott has revealed the telepathic understanding with Mesut Ozil which is firing Arsenal towards the Premier League title, writes MirrorFootball's John Cross.

Walcott says Arsenal players just have to "make eye contact" with Ozil and the in-form Germany international will deliver the perfect through-ball.

Playmaker Ozil is already top of the Premier League assist charts with 16 - just four behind Thierry Henry's record set in the 2002-03 season - and is well on his way to writing his name into the history books.

England forward Walcott insists Ozil is "without a doubt" the best player in the Premier League so far this season, and is convinced his silver service can deliver the title in 2016.

"You just have to make eye contact. Once you get that, he knows where you're going to go," said Walcott. "He has told me to just keep making runs, he just spots it. I need to help out by putting them in!

"The stats show that but not just that, his work-rate through the game and I see him training ever day and what he does for this team. He is only going to get better and better."

Cech speaks FIVE languages

Petr Cech has revealed that he speaks in three different languages to his defenders at Arsenal, write MirrorFootball's John Cross and Aaron Flanagan.

When at full-strength, Arsenal's front line consists of Spaniards Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal, Frenchman Laurent Koscielny and German Per Mertesacker.

Cech has revealed that he thinks it is essential for him to speak their native tongue so that they all fully understand his instructions.

He speaks five languages: Czech, English, French, Spanish and German.

The Czech's communication skills are one of the secrets to his success this season, after leading Arsenal to title contention.

He notched his record-breaking 170th Premier League clean sheet during the 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Monday as the Gunners topped the table at New Year.

Speaking exclusively to Mirror Football, he said: “I speak to the full-backs in Spanish, to Koscielny in French and to Per in English because for him it is the same as me.

"He organises people in English. Sometimes foreign players wouldn’t know what you say. That’s when you realise it’s easier to say it in their language than hoping they will understand. It can happen."
