Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas admits Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette is still actively looking to leave the club after his move to Atletico Madrid fell through.

But he insists the French side have not signed Bertrand Traore as the player’s replacement.

Traore joined OL from Chelsea on Monday in a deal worth €10million plus potential add-ons, having impressed at Ajax on loan last season.

The Gunners want French striker Lacazette if Arsene Wenger can’t persuade Monaco phenom Kylian Mbappe to move to the Emirates.

And Wenger believes he has convinced Lacazette, who scored 37 goals for Lyon last season, to join the Gunners.

Aulas confirmed at the weekend that he will hold out for maximum value for the player, a fact he reiterated on Monday at Traore’s unveiling.

But he also made clear that Lacazette still sees his future away from his current club, despite Aulas having hoped to keep him after his move to the Spanish capital fell through.

"Today [Monday] our position is that as long as we have not signed his replacement, we will keep him," he told reporters at Traore's unveiling.

"He expressed the wish to leave and he was given an agreement to go to the club of his heart, but things did not happen.

"He wants to leave. We will discuss it in the coming weeks. If so, offers will be heard, provided they match the value of the player.

"We have not received any concrete offers for Lacazette up to now but that could happen at any moment."

Atletico are still interested in taking Lacazette to Spain, while reports in Germany have suggested Borussia Dortmund are also keen on Lacazette, as a possible replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
