Arsenal appear to be losing the race to sign promising young goalkeeper Pontus Dahlberg.

The Sweden Under-21 international is rated as one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe and has had the Gunners and Everton on his trail.

But according to the Daily Mail , Marco Silva's side are set to secure his services in a £3.3million move for the 18-year-old when the transfer window opens next month.

Silva reportedly sees the teenager as good long-term competition for Hornets No1 Huerelho Gomes.

The 28-year-old landed in London on Tuesday and has not featured for the Spanish side since being substituted at half-time during the 3-3 Champions League comeback draw with Liverpool last month.
