Thomas Lemar has been a key target for Arsenal all summer but a move has failed to materialise.

Now though, the France international appears to have shifted his desired landing spot for when he leaves Monaco.

The winger wants to join Manchester United and follow in the foot steps of Anthony Martial, reports Duncan Castles.

Jose Mourinho is in need of a wide player having pursued Ivan Perisic all summer before ending interest after Inter Milan refused to budge on their valuation of the Croatia international.

So, given a choice, it would be Old Trafford over the Emirates for Lemar, but he may just have to wait for that move until next summer as Les Rouges et Blancs close up for the summer with just Kylian Mbappe remaining who could depart—but only for a fee that would make him the second most expensive player in the world.

Manchester United are on red alert with ‘angry’ Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly ready to quit Real Madrid next week.

The 32-year-old stole the show with a stunning goal as a youthful Real Madrid side beat Fiorentina 2-1 in a friendly at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night.

United’s former No.7 was linked with a return to Manchester earlier this summer after he was reportedly upset over his tax evasion case.

He then appeared to be staying until he was rocked by a five-match ban after being sent off against Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup, after which he pushed the referee.

The 35-year-old forward, who is close to recovering from his cruciate ligament damage sustained in April, returns to the club after his last deal expired at the end of June.

"I am back to finish what I started," said the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain forward. "It was always mine and the club's intention for me to stay.

"I cannot wait to get back out on that Old Trafford pitch, but I also know that I have to take my time to make sure that I am ready.
