Arsenal are stepping up their pursuit of Napoli duo Lorenzo Insigne and Faouzi Ghoulam.

The Gunners have sent scouts to the south of Italy for another look at the Italian winger and Algerian left-back, report The Sun.

Insigne would give Arsene Wenger some magic in the final third, while Ghoulam would bring an upgrade to the troublesome left-back position.

Neither Kieran Gibbs or Nacho Monreal have been able to convince entirely and now Ghoulam has surfaced as an alternative option with a joint-bid in the offing.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy makes cheeky Arsenal dig

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy apparently made a cheeky little dig at Arsenal while discussing the inspiration behind the club's new stadium.

Levy has big plans for Spurs and passionately spoke to NBC Men In Blazers' host Roger Bennett about the new ground he hopes will be "exceptional."

It's all very interesting as Levy goes into detail about which American stadiums caught his eye when architects drew up the plans for Spurs' new home.

But it's one line in particular that is bound to bring a smirk to your face... unless you're a Gunners fan of course.

Freddie Ljungberg quits as Arsenal academy coach to join Andries Jonker at Wolfsburg

Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg has left the club to join Andries Jonker at Wolfsburg.

Academy chief Jonker left his post at the Emirates to become the new manager of the Bundesliga side on Monday.

The 54-year-old, who spent two years as assistant manager with the Bundesliga club before moving to north London, replaces Valérien Ismaël.

Ismaël was sacked after Friday's 2-1 defeat to Werder Bremen left Wolfsburg hovering just above the relegation places.

And Wolfsburg confirmed fellow academy coach Ljungberg had joined him in Germany.
