Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud will leave the Emirates, if the club completes the signing of Lyon hitman Alexandre Lacazette.

That is according to The Express, who say Frenchman Giroud will spark a bidding war for his services should compatriot Lacazette move to north London.

Arsenal believe they have won the race for Lacazette and will smash their transfer record by paying £44million to land him.

Giroud struggled to hold down a starting spot this season and will be pushed further down the pecking order if Lacazette, who scored 28 goals in 30 Ligue 1 games in 2016-17, signs for the Gunners.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will continue the Anfield spending spree with a £30million move for Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain .

The Kop boss completed a £39m deal for Roma winger Mohamed Salah on Thursday and, has now set his sights on raiding the Emirates for the Gunners ' England midfielder, writes Mirror Football's John Richardson.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, 23, has just 12 months left on his contract and has become frustrated at the club’s lack of talks over a new deal — and with not being a regular starter under Arsene Wenger.

That has alerted Klopp, who is a confirmed admirer of the former Southampton starlet.

West Ham eyeing Walcott transfer

Will Walcott move across London?

West Ham have made England international Theo Walcott a £25million target.

The Arsenal winger was out of favour at the Emirates during the latter part of the season. He also lost his place in the England squad under Gareth Southgate, writes Mirror Football's Steve Stammers and Tom Hopkinson.

Walcott was clearly frustrated at his lack of game time in the 3-5-2 system introduced by manager Arsene Wenger. He showed immense restraint in not going public with his problem with the omission. But at 28, he has still to reach his peak as a player.

He harbours dreams of making the England squad for the World Cup next summer, and knows that will be an impossible dream if he is a regular substitute at Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Manuel Lanzini is set for a bumper new contract that would bring him in line with West Ham’s top earners.
