Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are heading for a summer battle for Leon Bailey.

The Premier League trio are all keen on the Bayer Leverkusen wing sensation and have had him watched this season.

And though the Germans are determined to hold on to the flying wide man this month they are braced for huge bids in the summer.

Bailey has been tipped to fetch a fee in excess of £40m.

The Jamaican 20-year-old took time to settle in Germany after moving to Leverkusen from Belgian side Genk on a five-year deal last January for an initial £12.4m.

But Bailey – lightning quick, tricky and renowned for his dribbling ability and powerful shooting - has settled now and been one of Champions League-chasing Leverkusen’s biggest danger men this season.

He has scored eight times in 16 games and also chipped in with a number of assists for the Bundesliga’s fourth-placed side.

Chelsea are long term admirers, with an interest dating back to when he was 15, have made numerous checks on Bailey throughout his career and saw a £22m approach knocked back last month.

But interest is mounting with United and Arsenal also in the hunt teeing up a three-way scramble from the Premier League for Bailey’s signature at the end of the season.
