Chris Coleman has given his blessing for his Wales players to leave camp in search of a move as Gareth Bale falls down the pecking order at Real Madrid.

In a World Cup year, Coleman's captain may feel he needs regular first team football, but once Cristiano Ronaldo returns from his suspension, Bale will have to beat out Isco and Marco Asensio for a start.

Joe Ledley is another member of the squad whose future remains in doubt and Coleman is prepared to grant his players time off to secure moves before Thursday's deadline.

"I will allow it if it is good for the player. We've got Joe Ledley at the moment. It's his future.

"Who's to say a club might say, 'we've got a better offer now'. I've had that myself," Coleman said.

"A player stalled, I waited and ended up with a better player.

"If there's something for you as a player, you have to go and take it. It's disruptive. But for the sake of a night, it's not a big deal."

The Dragons face Austria in Cardiff on Saturday in a crucial World Cup qualifier, with ground to make up on the Republic of Ireland and Serbia who remain four points clear in the top two of Group D.
