Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been told he can leave Anfield in January by boss Jurgen Klopp.

That is according to The Sun, who say the forward is ready to move as he looks to reignite his bid to go to the World Cup with England.

Sturridge has made only five starts in the Premier League, scoring three goals, placing his spot in the Three Lions squad under threat.

The 28-year-old could reportedly move abroad as he struggles to break into the Reds' star-studded forward line.

Coutinho was being grilled by Sky Sports’ Patrick Davison on his future at the club when Oxlade-Chamberlain injected and said: “He has been the most professional player I have seen all season. It is not fair to ask those sort of questions, I don’t think. He gives us his all every game and that is all we can ask for.”

The midfielder's defence of his magical teammate went down well online amongst Liverpool fans.
