Chelsea star Eden Hazard has once more fuelled speculation over a move to Real Madrid, by declaring his “dream” to play for boyhood hero Zinedine Zidane.

Belgian international Hazard, 26, has a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2020 and says he is “happy at Chelsea”.

However, he has long been linked with a move to the Spanish and European champions.

Madrid are looking to add to their attacking ranks, having failed to replace Hazard’s current Chelsea teammate, Alvaro Morata.

And while on international duty, Hazard has opened the door on a potential future move to the the Santiago Bernabeu.

"Everyone knows the respect I have for the man” Hazard told RTL when asked about the Madrid boss.

"For the player he was and for the coach he is, he was my idol.

“Of course I don't know what will happen in my career in the future, but to play under him would be a dream.

"At this time, though, I'm happy at Chelsea. I still have a lot of things to do at Chelsea, and I'm focused on Chelsea."

Hazard also sought to downplay suggestions that there are problems between he and his ex-Blues boss Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho led Hazard and Chelsea to Premier League glory in 2014-15, before being sacked the following season. Talk of a possible feud between the two re-emerged at the weekend, with Hazard blanking the Manchester United boss as he came out of the tunnel.

Hazard came in for rough treatment from opponents during Chelsea’s 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, but insists: "It wouldn't bother me to play under Jose Mourinho again."
