Fenerbahce are plotting a January move for Manchester United defender Daley Blind.

That is according to Turkish outlet Hurriyet, who say the Turkish giants are pondering a swoop for the Dutch defender after his indifferent start to the Premier League season.

Blind has struggled for regular football, playing just 270 minutes in the top flight so far this term.

Matteo Darmian and Ashley Young have each moved above Blind in the pecking order leading to speculation he could quiet Old Trafford in the winter sales.

Jose Mourinho has played down Manchester United’s flying start, claiming: “It means nothing.”

United are second only to Manchester City on goal difference after winning six and drawing one of their opening seven Premier League games.

Mourinho refuses to get carried away and says it does not mean they will be champions.

“Nothing has happened yet,” said the United boss. “Last year it started harder and it turned out really well.

“This year it has started really well, but we do not know how it’s going to end."

Romelu Lukaku is now worth a remarkable 54 percent more than he was when he joined Manchester United in July.

The Belgian striker has made a fantastic start to life at Old Trafford, with seven goals in his first seven Premier League games for the Red Devils. Even so, the jump in his transfer value is remarkable.

According to a study from the CIES Football Observatory, Lukaku's market price has gone from €102.7million on 1 July - a few days before he completed his move to United - to €158.5million on 1 October.

Swiss football research group CIES specialise in the scientific estimation of player's transfer value and their latest release comes after a record breaking summer of transfer action across Europe.
