Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw is reportedly demanding a £5million payoff if he is to leave the club next month.

The England defender has struggled for playing time this season and is believed to want out of the club in the January transfer window in order to maximise his chances of winning a place in Gareth Southgate's England World Cup squad.

But according to the Sun, he wants a severance package that takes into account the fact that he will unlikey be able to match the £130,000-a-week wage he's currently on.

A host of Premier League clubs including Newcastle and his former side Southampton are said to be interested in landing the 22-year-old.
