Manchester United defender Tim Fosu-Mensah is heading to Crystal Palace on loan for the season.
Fosu-Mensah broke into the United team under Louis van Gaal but made just four appearances in the Premier League last season under Jose Mourinho .
The 19 year-old was an unused substitute for the Europa League final against former club Ajax in May.
He has been used by Mourinho as an alternative to Antonio Valencia at right-back during pre-season.
But Fosu-Mensah is now set for a temporary switch to Selhurst Park for more regular first-team action, as United continue to wait on PSG defender Serge Aurier.
New Palace boss Frank de Boer has moved to a back three since taking over the Eagles, and is keen to strengthen his defence - having used Serbian midfielder Luka Milivojevic in his backline in the weekend draw with German side Schalke.
Fosu-Mensah offers De Boer an option at centre-half, but also at right wing-back, freeing Andros Townsend to push further forwards.
The Dutch youngster joined United from Ajax in 2014 - when De Boer was in charge of the Amsterdam club.
