Manchester United are interested in strengthening their forward options with Bordeaux starlet Malcom, reports The Times.

The Brazilian youngster, 20, has shone for Bordeaux so far this season, scoring seven goals and adding four assists in 16 games.

And with Henrikh Mkhitaryan seemingly on his way out, Mourinho is eyeing an attacker with pace to come in and play on United's right side.

Both Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford prefer operating from the left, but left-footed Malcom is quite the opposite.

And with Mourinho said to have £80million to spend next month as he looks to continue trying to push runaway leaders City, he may add Malcom to his attack.

Gareth Barry prodded home from close range to halve the deficit and the Baggies rallied to give United a real scare.

Jay Rodriguez headed just wide after Phil Jones lost his man but United held on to secure the points and a second consecutive win since the defeat in the Manchester derby.

The former Everton striker has been through a lean goal scoring period but netted for the second game in succession at West Brom.

Belgian hitman Lukaku gave United the lead, but strangely didn't celebrate his goal, despite scoring in front of the away fans.

And United fans seemingly aren't best pleased
