The teenager is due to sign his first pro contract but is putting it off as the Catalans circle.

The Sun report instead of staying at Old Trafford, the talented midfielder could go for a nominal amount.

David De Gea hailed as world's best goalkeeper

David De Gea has been hailed as the world’s best goalkeeper and the man who can bring the Premier League title back to Manchester United.

De Gea has been in outstanding form this season and continued that with several key saves in Sunday’s 4-0 win over Everton, which saw United go joint top with local rivals Manchester City.

United’s new signing Romelu Lukaku may have hit the ground running with five goals in as many Premier League games, but at the other end De Gea is proving equally formidable and important to Jose Mourinho’s side.

De Gea’s United and Spain team-mate Ander Herrera believes there is no better keeper in the world today than his compatriot, who racked up his 100th clean sheet from 275 appearances for the Reds on Sunday.

And in what is already shaping up to be an epic title tussle with City, Herrera reckons De Gea can ultimately swing the Premier League contest in United’s favour – because he is so dominant between the posts.

“For me, he’s the No.1,” said Herrera. “I train with him every day and I respect all the keepers like Manuel Neuer, Gianluigi Buffon and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, but David, right now, is the No.1 in the world.

“He’s very calm, and that’s the thing that always surprises me the most about him. Even before he goes out onto the pitch he can talk about different things, something I could never do.

Shaw set for shock recall against Burton in EFL Cup after being left out of U23 side

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw looks set to make a shock comeback against Burton in the EFL Cup third round against Burton after being left out of the Under-23 side on Monday night.

Shaw has played the last three games for Ricky Sbragia's side after making his long-awaited comeback from ligament damage he sustained back in April against Swansea.

The injury forced the 22-year-old to miss the end of the campaign and the Europa League final win over Ajax.

But the England left back has been working hard through the summer to regain full fitness and has made a successful return to action for United's reserve team.

Shaw was expected to feature once again on Monday night, but was left out of the squad for the Premier League 2 clash against Chelsea, which strongly suggests he is now being saved for the first-team game at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
