Manchester United are leading the race to land brilliant young Northern Ireland goalkeeper Conner Byrne.
The 14-year-old has just made his first-team debut for Glenavon in the Irish League, and his first start saw him watch by up to a dozen English clubs.
Schoolboy Byrne, who is a Northern Ireland Under-16 international, is already on United’s radar and they are confident of landing the youngster.
Bryne is also believed to be wanted by Tottenham, Everton and Liverpool.
Glenavon chairman Adrian Teer said: “There has already been a lot of interest in Conner from a number of cross-channel clubs.
"He is a great prospect.”
