Andreas Pereira has joined Valencia on a season-long loan.

The Manchester United midfielder is embarking on his second spell in La Liga following his loan with Granada last season.

Pereira was included in United's pre-season tour of the United States and was given regular game time by manager Jose Mourinho.

Despite impressing, he was unable to convince the boss that he was deserving of a place in the squad.

Pereira was able to get the deal done with just minutes of the Spanish transfer window remaining.

A statement said: "Valencia CF have reached an agreement this Friday with Manchester United FC for the loan of Belgian-Brazilian player Andreas Pereira until the 30th of June, 2018."

Pereira admitted during the summer that he did not intend on heading out on another loan.

He explained to PA Sport: "No, now I am focused at United. I am here and I want to stay here and I believe I am going to stay.

"It is a very nice feeling (to be back), I am very happy. I am glad that I am here on the tour.

"I think I will have the chance to kick on and I want to kick on here.

"I want to play and show everyone that I can help the team and I want to win trophies and help everyone getting trophies and get a good season."
