Manchester United youngster Aliou Traore has penned a professional deal at the club.

The midfielder was included on the pre-season trip to Austria but only officially joined the Red Devils before Christmas.

Traore, who only celebrated his 17th birthday on Monday, got the perfect present after signing pro terms.

Head of Academy Nicky Butt told ManUtd.com: "Aliou is a tremendously gifted young player and we are all delighted to see him sign his first professional contract at Manchester United.

"Aliou will naturally need time to adapt, but he has an exciting future ahead of him and we are all looking forward to seeing his performances for the Under-18s in the second half of this season."

Traore is the latest youngster to be handed a pro contract by United, following in the footsteps of Kieran O'Hara and Aidan Barlow.
