Manchester United have added both Kieran Tierney and Ryan Sessegnon to their shortlist of transfer targets, with Jose Mourinho keen to find a regular left-back.

The position has lacked consistency over the past two seasons, with Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Ashley Young all alternating the position.

However, Mourinho has been impressed by both 17-year-old Tierney and 20-year-old Sessegnon's progress over the past two seasons, according to the Daily Record.

Celtic full-back Tierney has established himself as one of Europe's brightest prospects while Fulham ace Sessegnon has taken to the Championship by storm.

Manchester United have triggered year-long contract extensions with Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Ashley Young and Daley Blind.

All four were out of contract this summer, but United moved to secure their market value, having already triggered the same option with defender Luke Shaw.

Dutchman Blind has been restricted to just five appearances in the Premier League this season and has been linked with a January exit before the extension.

Mata has been first choice under Jose Mourinho, making 17 appearances in the top flight, scoring three goals and laying on three more for his teammates.

Jose Mourinho has rubbished claims he is set to quit Manchester United in the summer and said he wants to stay beyond his current deal.

Mourinho has been linked with a summer move to Paris St Germain, amid reports he is unhappy with life at United and trailing runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City by 15 points.

But Mourinho - halfway through a three-year deal - insisted he remains committed to United ahead of Friday's FA Cup third round tie at home to Derby and said he will only leave when the Old Trafford hierarchy want him to go.

"I don't see any reason not to stay," said Mourinho.
