After completing the signing of Paul Pogba - Jose Mourinho is ready to axe FOUR first-team stars before the transfer window closes.

That is according to the Daily Telegraph, who say the Portuguese is willing to let Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Juan Mata find new clubs.

Schweinsteiger has already been cut from the first team while Mata was substituted on and then off again in United's Community Shield victory over Leicester.

The Portuguese is reportedly willing to keep Mata, Rojo and Blind if he has to, but wants Schweinsteiger to leave in this window.

Paul Pogba has returned to Manchester United after four years away - and he's already made a promise to the fans.

The Frenchman finally completed his world record £90million move in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

And the 23-year-old, who left Old Trafford under a cloud back in 2012, believes destiny has brought him back, writes Mirror Football's Ben Burrows.

"There’s no words, to be honest, there’s no words," he told MUTV . "I just came back to Carrington. It was like I’d just come back home. I just went for a holiday, looks like I went for a holiday.

"I’ve come back home, I’m happy and I see everyone, the same people. It’s just a great feeling, to be honest.

Jose Mourinho has tipped Paul Pogba to be at Manchester United for the next decade after his £90million move back to Old Trafford was finally confirmed, writes Mirror Football's James Whaling.

On the signing, Mourinho told manutd.com: “Paul is one of the best players in the world and will be a key part of the United team I want to build here for the future.

"He is quick, strong, scores goals and reads the game better than many players much older than he is.

"At 23, he has the chance to make that position his own here over many years.

"He is young and will continue to improve; he has the chance to be at the heart of this club for the next decade and beyond.”
