Tottenham's £30million midfielder Moussa Sissoko is wanted by Trabzonspor.

The north Londoners, however, are unwilling to sanction the move because the Turkish club want a loan rather than a permanent deal.

Spurs want their money back for the man they signed from Newcastle last summer.

Sissoko did well in the club’s 2-0 win over Juventus at Wembley last Saturday. But he was left out of the club’s American tour with illness.

He is known to be among the players for whom the club are prepared to listen to offers. But Trabzonspor vice-chairman Gencaga Meric has claimed he is struggling to reach agreement with Tottenham.

He said: “Sissoko is keen on joining, we have spoken with him and talks went well.

“We have yet to convince Tottenham or their manager.

“Tottenham want to recoup most of what they invested in Sissoko but we want him on loan.

“We have made our offer and are waiting for a decision.”
