Tottenham are battling RB Leipzig for the signature of Hoffenheim youngster Nadiem Amiri.

That is according to Bild, who say Spurs are ready to go head to head with their Bundesliga rivals to land the 21-year-old midfielder.

Amiri has established himself as a regular in the Hoffenheim side and has attracted suitors with his energetic, dynamic displays in Germany, and has been likened to current Spurs star Dele Alli.

Neither club have apparently yet made an approach, but are monitoring the player's situation.
