Manchester United will get Danny Rose in January — if they stump up £50million.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is believed to have ordered his scouts to start the hunt for a replacement left-back after deciding he’ll cut England defender Rose loose.
The hard-line Argentinian only wants players who are fully committed to the Tottenham cause and he believes Yorkshire-born Rose wants to move back north.
The same scenario developed last season with Sheffield-born Kyle Walker, who eventually joined Manchester City last summer in a £50m deal.
That is the kind of figure chairman Daniel Levy wants for 27-year-old Rose.
The defender, who earns around £65,000 a week, angered Pochettino with his outburst earlier this season claiming he was under-paid.
He blasted: “I am reaching my peak and have probably only got one big contract left in
“I’m not saying I want out, but if something came to me that was concrete, I’d have no qualms about voicing my opinions to anyone at the club.”
That was seen by Pochettino as a clear “come and get me” plea to United who have been tracking Rose for over a year.
