Jonny Evans is at the centre of a four-way tug of war with Everton and West Ham joining the chase for his services.

Manchester City saw a move for the 29-year-old centre-back break down at the end of August. West Brom want to keep the Northern Ireland defender at The Hawthorns and are ready to offer him a new deal.

It has left Evans with big decisions to make once the transfer window reopens in January. Pep Guardiola sees him as an option to strengthen his squad.

West Ham boss David Moyes sees Evans very much a player for the Hammers’ first team, believing the Irishman would add leadership to their leaky defence.

New Everton boss Sam Allardyce sees Evans as a potential key player in his team as he bids to restore organisation to to the Goodison defence.

Allardyce also wants to sign £25million Sevilla midfielder Steven Nzonzi, currently training alone in Spain after falling out with coach Eduardo Berizzo.

The former Stoke and Blackburn midfielder, 28, has proven his class since moving to Spain and had been targeted by Italian champions Juventus last year before signing a new deal until 2020.
