Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho might have found a new understudy for David De Gea... in the form of rookie goalkeeper Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese shot-stopper, 54, impressed in Saturday afternoon's Game4Grenfell clash at Loftus Road, which raised money for the families of the victims of June's awful tower block fire.

United boss Mourinho - who was also at the game - would have been impressed with the performance of the previously undiscovered keeper, who could now be snapped up as cover for De Gea and United No. 2 Sergio Romero.

In an action-packed cameo appearance, the shot-stopper impressed in his 27 minutes on the field, before taking part in a penalty shootout in which he scored his own kick, took off his gloves halfway through, but failed to save a single penalty from the opposition.

Despite that, it was a hugely impressive display from the hitherto unknown keeper.

Here's a rundown of it.

63 mins: Comes on to replace Team Ferdinand goalkeeper David James to a mixture of applause and pantomime-like boos. This is clearly going to be a stern test for the untried keeper, and he looks a little nervous.

64 mins: If there are nerves, he's not showing them. The keeper bravely comes for a corner and produces a great punch to clear the penalty area.

65 mins: Confidently watches a shot fly past his post. Looking assured.

66mins: With his side 2-1 up, the keeper gets booked for timewasting as he seems to actively encourage the crowd to keep hold of the ball. There's no place for antics like that in football, but it shows his desire to win.

69 mins: Takes a good goal kick which sails into the opposition half.

70 mins: Team Shearer forward Stan Collymore heads wide of Mourinho's goal. He had it covered.

73 mins: Confidently collects after defender Ralf Little slices an attempted clearance in front of his goal. Gives his teammate a menacing glare.

76 mins: Mourinho rushes out to make himself big, forcing Collymore to slice across goal, and the ball is tapped in by Chris Edwards from Kasabian. Mourinho bitterly complains to the officials that Edwards was offside, but replays show he wasn't. The goal stands, with a livid goalkeeper left berating both the referee and his defence.

80 mins : Confidently watches a Damien Duff effort sail over his bar.

85 mins : Flies across his goal to attempt to save a chipped Paul Merson effort which passes just wide. Had it covered.

90 mins: A confident take from a cross as the final whistle goes.
