Most clubs have players who you completely forgot played for them, and Liverpool are no exception.

And on Tuesday night, the Reds reminded the world that Jon Flanagan is still their player when Jurgen Klopp handed him a start at right-back in the Carabao Cup clash at Leicester City.

It was Flanagan's first Liverpool appearance since he played in the shadow Reds side that faced West Bromwich Albion in May 2016, and only his 10th outing since the final day of the 2013/14 season - when he impressed at left-back under Brendan Rodgers.

The Scouser has had injury problems since then, and underwhelmed during last season's loan spell at Burnley, where he only played 10 times in all competitions.

And the sight of him in a red shirt has surprised many people.

But whereas there was general shock at "The Scouse Cafu's" selection, many Liverpool fans were right behind the previously forgotten man.

Jon, you're a forgotten man no more!
