Well this didn't go well.

Rio Ferdinand was clearly in a nostalgic mood on Wednesday morning, and was indulging in some reminiscing about the great players he performed alongside during his 12-year stint at Manchester United .

And during said reminiscing, he managed to dig out a photo which underlined just how good United's class of 2005 was, tweeting it with the words "Talk to me about this line up...".

It's just that it was a pretty unfortunate photo.

At first glance, seeing Paul Scholes, Roy Keane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs and Ferdinand in the same image is quite an impressive sight, but then you notice that none of them are looking particularly happy.

That's because the image was taken during the penalty shootout in the 2005 FA Cup final against Arsenal in Cardiff.

In that shootout, Scholes saw his effort saved by Jens Lehmann before Gunners skipper Patrick Vieira stepped up to win it with what was his last kick for the club.

Obviously Rio *accidentally* cropped Silvestre and Fortune out of his version... (

And given that this is Twitter and Arsenal fans we're talking about, it wasn't long before people noticed.

Take it away, Gooners.

And with that they retired and prepared for the next Twitter battle.

It'll happen soon.
