Ooh la la! Alexandre Lacazette brings up a Gallic goalscoring landmark for Arsenal against Crystal Palace
The summer signing from Lyon is one of many French stars to have shone for the Gunners, and his goal on Saturday would have been well received back in his homeland
Arsenal have always had a certain French flair to them throughout Arsene Wenger's 21 years as manager, and on Saturday the Gallic Gunners achieved a special milestone.
Twenty-one different players from the country have scored a Gunners goal in the top-flight, dating back to Patrick Vieira's strike in a 2-2 draw against Derby County in December 1996, right up to Lacazette's strike against Palace, which came just nine minutes after Laurent Koscielny had scored Arsenal's 499th "French goal".
