Former Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has dismissed claims Alexis Sanchez was a disruption on the Arsenal dressing room.

The Chilean is finally set to complete his move to Manchester United after a dramatic breakthrough in talks.

He will follow Coquelin out of the Emirates exit, after the midfielder joined Valencia earlier this month, reports Football.London.

Speaking to BBC's Football Focus, Coquelin said he doesn't understand the claims that there has been tensions between the Chilean and the rest of the Arsenal squad.

"Well, you know Alexis Sanchez has quality on the pitch. He is someone who, at any time, he can produce something magical so he is a top player," Coquelin said.

"I hear a lot of things that the dressing room wasn't getting on well with him but I don't really know where that comes from.

"Sometimes that's what people say when you've got a great player," Coquelin continued. "We talk about ego but he is someone who is always keen to work and I didn't have any problem with him.

"I don't think the squad have a problem. I think the only problem is the uncertainty around him. They probably don't know what next week is going to be, if he's going to be here or not.

"That's what the transfer window is all about so they will probably know in the next couple of days or so."
