Manchester United could face competition from Bayern Munich for Gareth Bale should Real Madrid opt to sell this summer.

The Red Devils have been strongly linked to the Welsh superstar in recent years with Los Blancos ready to push the reset button this summer.

Florentino Perez may look to Bale's recent form and cash in on the former Tottenham star, with Bayern now keen, according to reports in Spain.

Bale has proven to be more important than Cristiano Ronaldo this season for Zinedine Zidane's side, which could make Perez think twice about ditching Bale, and instead push the Portuguese forward out the door instead.

Paul Pogba to demand his Manchester United wages are DOUBLED to match new arrival Alexis Sanchez

Paul Pogba will demand his wages are doubled to match £400,000-a-week recruit Alexis Sanchez.

Manchester United have offered the Chile striker a basic salary of almost £100million over the next four-and-a-half years, and that has raised the bar in the Old Trafford pay stakes.

Now Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola is ready to tell United that his current £200,000-a-week salary is no longer the going rate for a player of his stature.

The 24-year-old will have three years left on the contract he signed in 2016 when he returned to United from Juventus for a then-world record £89m.

United can also take up a further 12-month option, but they are aware of the need to secure Pogba’s future throughout the peak years of his career.

Man United suffer blow as Real Madrid knocked back by Kepa with David De Gea yet to commit long-term future

Manchester United will be concerned after Kepa rejected the chance to join Real Madrid to extend their search for a new goalkeeper.

Failure to land the Athletic Bilbao star means David De Gea could emerge as a target again.

The Red Devils No.1 has yet to sign a new deal with just one year remaining on his deal - though United retain the option to extend that by a further 12 months.

The Spain goalkeeper has reportedly decided to stay, according to AS , after being impressed by a number of team-mates extending their deals at the San Mames, including Inaki Williams.
