Everton travel to Leicester City for the Sunday feature game, expecting to have Morgan Schneiderlin back following an injury and illness. The Blues shouldn’t have any other injuries, with Nikola Vlasic also expected to be over the bruised foot that kept him out of the Chelsea loss midweek in the Carabao Cup.

During his pre-match press conference for today’s game, caretaker manager David Unsworth provided an interesting long-term injury update that seemed to go against what former manager Ronald Koeman had said. Ross Barkley is now expected back on the pitch within a month, while he added Yannick Bolasie and Seamus Coleman might be months away still.

There were some rumours earlier on Saturday that midfielder James McCarthy had re-injured his hamstring, but the news has yet to be confirmed by an reliable source.

For hosts Leicester City, today’s game will be the first in charge for new manager Claude Puel who was appointed this week. He should have an almost full squad to choose from, with only Robert Huth and Matty James missing, with ankle and calf injuries respectively.

The Foxes ended a six-match winless streak with a victory against Swansea City, and Puel will likely stick with the 4-4-1-1 formation.
