Meme Monday - Everton’s Horrific Halloween edition

Find laughter in the darkness. At least try.

After what looked to be a transformative summer that was designed to take Everton into the top six and ask questions of the top four, the Blues find themselves living a nightmare in the Premier League, buried deep in the relegation zone with October coming to an end and a quarter of the season gone.

Even as the Blues kept dropping points and losing games to begin the same, it never felt that we would stay as low on the table for long. But now, after Ronald Koeman’s exit and with David Unsworth struggling to get any sort of cohesion, the spectre of Aston Villa’s demise seems to be growing by the day.

Incredible really, for a team to spend nearly £200m over three transfer windows and yet somehow find themselves in a relegation conversation. There has been rumour that majority shareowner Farhad Moshiri is calling for a ‘root and branch’ review of how this great Club is run, and it could be interesting to see when this happens and how deep it goes. For now though, Moshiri and Kenwright are barely propping up this corpse of a team.

Which brings us to caretaker manager Unsworth. There is no doubt whatsoever that he bleeds blue, but his decision-making yesterday seemed equally befuddling as what we saw his predecessor Koeman doing at times.

What is going on with this team?!
