Final Verdict

Two of Ronald Koeman’s former sides met today, with the home side dominating the opening half. Dusan Tadic took advantage of yet another defensive lapse to put the Saints ahead, but the Blues pulled one back through Gylfi Sigurdsson right before the halftime whistle.

However worse was to come after the break as the Toffees were simply overwhelmed 4-1 against a Saints side that has struggled to score all season but had no issues beating the Blues.
