It looks like Croatian broadcaster HRT is the only one who will be carrying this for Thursday

Fans who can’t make it to Goodison Park on Thursday night for Everton’s crucial Europa League playoff game against Croatian side Hajduk Split are not going to be able to watch it on television, it seems. There are currently no television listings for the game as things stand.

With just three days left to the game, no broadcaster has picked up the rights to the two-legged telecast, which could mean thousands of fans worldwide will have to resort to listening to the radio broadcast on the evertonfc.com website.

This would be a good opportunity for the club to pick up the broadcast rights and possibly show the match on their Facebook page, like they did for the last preseason game against Sevilla recently.

The first leg of the tie at home could prove crucial for the Blues’ hopes of advancing to the Europa League tournament proper. The return leg will be played in Split a week from this Thursday, and trips to Croatia (and the Balkan area in general) are a daunting affair, as this first-hand account of the Eternal Derby should tell you.

What makes this even more difficult for the Toffees is the stretch of games that includes the European ties is during what could be the most daunting phase of the season for Everton -

  • Thursday Aug 17th - Everton vs Hajduk Split (Europa League qualifier)
  • Monday Aug 21st - Everton at Manchester City (Premier League)
  • Thursday Aug 24th - Everton at Hajduk Split (Europa League qualifier)
  • Sunday Aug 27th - Everton at Chelsea (Premier League)

There is some respite for the Blues after this with the international break on the first week of September.
