Everton have a number of players out on loan this season, here’s a quick recap of how they did with their respective clubs midweek and this weekend.

Nottingham Forest fans can’t stop raving about the quality of Kieran Dowell, and we have to agree with them. He’s becoming a key part of the Forest side, and his composure on the ball even in the face of physical pressure has been impressive to see.

His side slipped to an away defeat at Barnsley midweek, but bounced back yesterday to win 2-1 against Middlesbrough. Dowell has been playing in the central attacking midfielder role and has seen his minutes climbing, playing the full ninety in both games.

Tyias Browning has continued his good start to the season at Sunderland, becoming part of the first choice backline pairing and continuing with some solid performances. The Championship has not been too kind to the Black Cats, with a draw midweek at Sheffield Wednesday followed up by a loss against Leeds yesterday.

However, his fellow Evertonian there Brendan Galloway has continued to have a torrid time. He has struggled badly in his few games so far and looks destined for a spell on the bench after getting hooked yesterday. Galloway has been a defensive liability and is constantly getting beaten down the wing. Is it time to revert back to centerback for the youngster?

Midfielder Joe Williams continues to feature for Barnsley who upset Forest midweek before losing to Sheffield United this weekend. The Tykes have been having a tough go of it this season, but Williams has done well playing as the pivot in a 4-1-4-1 formation.

Over at Leeds United, defender Matthew Pennington continues to be out with manager Thomas Christiansen refusing to say how long he’ll miss with his ankle ailment. Pennington left the pitch after landing awkwardly in his first game against Bolton Wanderers.

Antonee Robinson hasn’t seen much game time for Bolton Wanderers, who have now slipped into the relegation zone and could be in line for a start soon.

Finally, RSC Anderlecht have struggled as well recently, losing two straight games to slip to midtable in the Jupiler Pro League in Belgium. Striker Henry Onyekuru played the full game in a 3-2 loss to St. Truiden, winning a penalty as well.
