To say that former Lokomotiv Moscow forward Oumar Niasse has struggled to adapt to English football would be an understatement of the highest order.
The Senegalese striker was unable to make his mark under Roberto Martinez, and Ronald Koeman was completely disinterested in trying to make Niasse fit into the plans at Everton - likely with good reason.
Niasse spent last season on loan at Hull City, where he scored 4 goals in 17 appearances.
It’d been rumored that Premier League new boys Brighton were interested in Niasse’s services (on loan), but he now looks set for a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

Niasse is 27, and is likely experiencing some self-awareness here. The best years of his career were in Russia, and the football in Turkey is going to do a better job approximating that level of play than swimming against the current at Brighton every week.
Either way, we hope it works out for Oumar. Despite arguably never receiving a fair chance at Everton, he didn’t complain, and leaves Finch Farm as he arrived - fairly anonymous.
