The balance of power in European soccer could be tipped today.

Transfer Deadline Day is upon us. So much business has already been done in the summer leading up to today. But this will almost surely be the single most active 24-hour period of the entire window; filled with panic buys, last-second sales and many more disappointing failures that lay the ground work for poor seasons all around Europe.

Here at Royal Blue Mersey, our speciality is Everton news. Our Toffees have had an exciting summer so far. But we are still on the hunt for a first-rate striker and some cover on the left side of the defensive line. However, adding depth all over the pitch would be nice as well. We will just have to wait and see what Ronald Koeman, Steve Walsh, Bill Kenwright and Farhad Moshiri pull out of their hat.
