Oumar Niasse reportedly set to complete Crystal Palace transfer

Fee currently unknown

Earlier today, the Guardian reported that outcast Everton striker Oumar Niasse had agreed to personal terms with Crystal Palace. Now, Sky Sports say that the Blues and Palace have agreed to a fee, although that number is currently unknown. Everton had been rumoured to be seeking around £10 million for any permanent deal.

Niasse, 27, will be expected to back up Christian Benteke for the London club, and he may even receive some spot starts. The fact that Niasse is staying in the Premier League is something of a surprise, given the player was linked with clubs in Turkey and elsewhere abroad.

However, Oumar acquitted himself well at Hull City (scoring 4 goals in 17 appearances) during last year’s loan spell, and is generally well-regarded around Everton for maintaining an excellent attitude despite Ronald Koeman being uninterested in his services. Niasse made 7 first team appearances for the Toffees, and scored no goals.

Good luck at Selhurst Park, Oumar!
