Final Verdict

Everton struggled again to start this game, despite having eight days off going into the fixture. The deep bunkering mentality when playing away, especially against the top six teams, is not changing it appears.

The fact that the first three goals the Blues conceded were all tap-ins from around six yards away should tell you the story you need to know about how poor Everton’s marking was.
