Editor’s update: Charles Clay is “likely to play today,” according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.
The Buffalo Bills are listing Charles Clay as questionable to return in Week 10 vs. the New Orleans Saints.
Clay is working his way back from a knee injury sustained in Week 5, which led to him missing a month of action. He was limited in practice this week. Coupled with a long layoff, fantasy owners should not expect much, if anything from him against a surging Saints defense, which has allowed an average of 13 points per game over their last three games.
That said, Clay is a very viable fantasy tight end going forward, and he can be hard on a lot of league’s waiver wires. In terms of fantasy points per game among tight ends, Clay ranked seventh before suffering his injury.
Fantasy Advice: If Clay is active, he will face a Saints defense allowing the second-fewest receiving yards to tight ends this season. Even if Clay plays, keep him on the bench this week.
