Odubel Herrera made an amazing, game-ending catch last week against the Dodgers. If you missed it, it was pretty great.

Apparently he’s not content to only rob home runs from the Dodgers, though, because he did it again against the Nationals and Jayson Werth on Wednesday.
No, you're not seeing double. Within a week, Odubel Herrera made the same exact catch twice. Really remarkable stuff. pic.twitter.com/lxvdeo4nTf

It was such a great snag, in fact, that Werth thought he had a home run for sure and flipped his bat before Herrera caught the ball. To be fair, in almost any other universe that would have been a home run and that bat flip would have looked super cool and everybody would have laughed and smiled and congratulated him.
Jayson Werth launches one to left-center, flips his bat ... and then watches as Odubel Herrera makes a leaping catch at the wall.

But it wasn’t to be, and Herrera showed off his great leaping ability once again. Not that it matters since they’re long out of playoff contention, but that could secure them the win when it’s all said and done.
If that’s the case it also would keep the Nationals in fourth place in the home field advantage rankings, which actually does matter. So it’s not just fun and games and robbing Jayson Werth of a homer after all.
