Green Bay Packers

The Packers appeared to be well on their way to another dominant season and NFC North title, opening the year with a 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS record. But all of that changed last Sunday when Aaron Rodgers left the game with an injury that was later diagnosed as a broken collarbone that will force him to miss the rest of the 2017 season.

Green Bay went on to lose 23-10 to Minnesota, its Super Bowl odds plummeted, and the team's hopes now rest on the play of backup quarterback Brett Hundley.

In six home games against the Saints since 1985, the Packers are 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS per the OddsShark NFL Database. All six of those games went OVER the posted total.

New Orleans Saints

All five games that New Orleans has played in this season have been decided by double digits. The Saints lost to Minnesota by 10 and New England by 16 to start the season, but have since rebounded to go 3-0 SU and ATS over their last three games with an average margin of victory of 18.3 points per game.

The Saints are 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games on the road.

Sunday's total is set at 47.5 points. The OVER is 8-0 in the last eight games between these two teams.

What should have been an exciting matchup between two of the greatest quarterbacks of this era now looks to be a one-sided affair. Green Bay's flaws have historically been covered up by the brilliant play of Rodgers, and even if Hundley is effective it will be extremely difficult for him to come close to Rodgers' level of play.

The Packers have no choice but to press on however, and they'll try to do just that on Sunday.
