Southampton vs. Manchester United live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch Premier League online

Manchester United are limping, but still hope to have enough in the tank to take out Southampton.

Manchester United The last few weeks haven’t all been easy for Manchester United despite their record — with Paul Pogba seemingly out injured long term, they seem just a little bit less lethal than normal, and their string of three-plus goal victories have come against teams struggling for form.

But they’re facing another such team in Southampton, who had to scrape their way to a victory over a Crystal Palace side that’s been so bad they haven’t even won a single point this season. That win is their only one in their last four all-competitions matches, a span that included a humiliating 2-0 loss to Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers. Their only other win this season came against a West Ham side that’s just two points of goal differential against the relegation zone, and they played an hour of the match down a man.

Suffice it to say, Southampton have not exactly impressed this season, making them exactly the kind of team that Manchester United have tended to feast on this season. It certainly won’t answer anyone’s questions as to how Manchester will handle the better teams in England and Europe that they’ll eventually have to face, but at the end of the season, three points is three points. Unless of course Southampton put in their best performance of the season and beat United, in which case they’ll have a lot more questions to answer.

Manchester United are without Paul Pogba thanks to a hamstring injury that seems to have Jose Mourinho worried that he won’t be back any time soon. They’re also missing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marco Rojo after long-term knee injuries both players suffered last season. Southampton will be without Charlie Austin Matt Targett via injury, though Virgil Van Djik might actually make his return to the side after a contentious summer that saw him try to leave the club several times.
