Dating app, Tinder, has confirmed to Sky Sports News it is in talks with Manchester United over a potential "partnership".

Reports of a £12m-a-year deal for Tinder's logo to appear on the vacant space on United's shirt sleeves have been dismissed by the company, whose app allows users to find potential partners by swiping right or left on profiles.

Sky Sports News understands Tinder is in negotiations with other Premier League clubs about sponsorship opportunities.

United also remain in constant discussions with various companies over potential partnerships.

Rivals Manchester City became the first club to sign a shirt-sleeve sponsorship deal in March this year, with eight Premier League clubs since taking advantage of the new rule change, which allows for a secondary sponsor.
