Manchester United's Antonio Valencia has offered what appears to be a positive injury update after he was forced off during the 2-1 win at West Brom on Sunday.

The Ecuador international was replaced by Marcos Rojo in the 66th minute at The Hawthorns, with United boss Jose Mourinho admitting after the game that the injury could be "big, small, medium".

There is still no news from the United medical staff on Valencia but the player appeared upbeat when he took to Instagram to comment on the matter.

"3 points at a hard stadium. Thanks for your support and concern. I am fine and our @manchesterunited won!," he wrote.

Valencia has played seven times in the last 23 days, with Mourinho describing his problem as a "December injury".

United remain second in the Premier League, 11 points behind rivals Manchester City, following the victory over West Brom.
