Former Arsenal academy director Andries Jonker has been dismissed by Wolfsburg after just seven months in charge.
The weekend's 1-0 defeat at Stuttgart left Wolfsburg stuttering in 14th place in the Bundesliga.
The 54-year old joined Wolfsburg in February after less than three years at the Emirates having taken over as Liam Brady's replacement in 2014.
He helped Wolfsburg avoid relegation last season after successfully negotiating a two-legged relegation play-off triumph against Eintracht Braunschweig in May.
