European paper talk: Inter Milan cool interest in Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil

The European transfer window may only have been closed for a month, but clubs will already have an idea where they still need to strengthen in January, and next summer.

Italy

Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta does not think Liverpool will sell Emre Can to his side in January, but confirmed a bid had been made in the previous transfer window. "We made an offer for him in the summer but the Reds didn't sell him," he said. "So I don't think they'll change their mind in the middle of the season." (Premium Sport)

Inter Milan will try to sign Javier Pastore in January, after interest in Mesut Ozil cooled due to the possibility of the German's high wage demands. The PSG midfielder's contract runs until 2019, but the Italian club believe they will have a chance to buy him in January. (Calciomercato)

France

This could be Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang's last season at Dortmund as he weighs up a possible move next summer. "I am happy to have stayed here, however, I don't know what will happen at the end of the season," said the Gabon international striker. AC Milan and Real Madrid are said to be interested. Samir Nasri has ruled out returning to his hometown club Marseille before he retires, but has said he may join the club's staff in other areas in the future. "A return is never good. It is better to leave a good image, we never know how it happens," he said. "I would like to coach, or be sporting director. Why not." (Canal+)

Germany

Christoph Metzelder believes that Jurgen Klopp is the best man for the Bayern Munich job, after the Bavarian club parted ways with Carlo Ancelotti. The former Dortmund defender believes that the Liverpool manager is ready to take on the job, where as it might be too big a step up for someone like Julian Nagelsmann, the Hoffenheim coach who has been linked with the position. Real Madrid have been keeping an eye on the progress of former Liverpool attacking midfielder Suso, who recently signed a new contract with AC Milan. (Marca)
